11 and 5 For Season And No Playoffs

The regular season for the NFL is winding down and we still have quite a few surprises that need to be sorted out before we get to the playoffs.  First of all and perhaps the most important thing at least to me is when oh when will the cable companies and the NFL network end their battle over broadcasting rights and money! There are a lot of people in some pretty big markets across the country that are missing out on what used to be nationally televised games.

For example just yesterday the game between the Colts and Jaguars which I heard was a great game and a Peyton Manning highlight reel for the whole game. Hello people in charge over there at the NFL network and cable companies!!!!! Can we please come to an agreement already so we can get back to national televised games the way they should be!

I digress, two more games to go and in the AFC we may see an 11 and 5 team not go to the playoffs? That to me seems almost too ridiculous to even type but it’s the truth as the AFC east is stuck in a four way tie of 9 and 5 teams and there are only two playoff spots left for them. This only will make for an interesting last two weeks, not to mention that those two teams that don’t make will watch a possible division winner over in the AFC west that could get in with an even 8 and 8 record. Talk about sucky! The NFC is not quite as murky of a scenario but it’s not far off.

Speaking of not so clear scenarios for the season, who do you is most deserving of the MVP award for this year? I have heard and read a decent amount of talk for quite a few guys this year like, Peyton Manning, Adrian Petersen,  Drew Brees and Kurt Warner just to name a few. I think the last two weeks of the season are going to be the deciding factors becuase up until now I have seen amazing seasons for all of them but no one has really broken out as a no question that guy is the MVP this year. Still to close to call as far as I can tell who do you think will be the MVP this year, I think I may go with Peyton Manning.

The battle over broadcasting rights is already becoming a very big hindrance to what media should be doing. They are supposed to make sure that everyone gets to see or at least have access to different events such as these games. Broadcasting companies, cable companies and other members of the media should start getting into a healthy competition.

they really need to settle their differences this year, so we don't have to endure another year of hit or miss games that we may or may not be able to see on tv.
