Madden Demo A 12 Day Teaser

Yep it’s ture in case you are living in a box and have not heard there is an actual demo of Madden 09 and it has been released a mere 12 days before the football behemoth is released officially to the massess. Well it looks like the folks over at EA are really proud of  the latest installement of the Madden series as this is the first time they are releaseing a playable demo this close to the actual release date.

There do appear to be a great deal many improvements over last year with some interesting new twists. The fact that they have brought back play by play action with Cris Collinsworth will hopefully add some much needed spice to the feel of the game. Supposedly you will not hear the same comments repeated as you play through a complete game, we shall see.

Also the addition of a 3D training facility looks to be an interesting concept. If this will really add any value to the playing time of the game will probably be up to each individual. Don’t see it being a mass appeal part of the game but you never know.

The other interesting addition is the movement of the options from the pause screen to the live in game ability, options on demand. Replay, formation changes accessed directly in the play call screen. That will be a sweet edition and looks pretty slick in the game trailers that EA has released.

Excited to put in some real time with the Madden demo this weekend. Sure it will only add to anticipation for Madden XX 2009!!!! Is it August 12th yet?
