OK before I dive to far into this new post I would just like to say that I was going to write about some of the surprising hot fantasy football picks that have been paying off early in this young NFL season. However I came across a headline about an interesting story with a disgruntled Oregon Duck fan and the head coach of the Ducks Chip Kelly.
It’s just not something you hear of which is why the story has gotten some national attention (thanks front page of Yahoo ) Anyway back to the story it all started on the first week of the college football season when the Oregon Ducks began their season Boise State on national TV by the way, ESPN.
Unless you have been living under a rock or your just not a fan of sports in general than you would have seen the results from this game as the crazy events after the game ended is what the game will be remembered for as it made newscasts all over the country.
Just in case you did not see the incident here is the video of LeGarrette Blount sucker punching the Boise State player then trying to go wild on fans in the stands…. needless to say he was suspended for the rest of the season.
As you might imagine there were a lot of pissed off and upset Oregon Duck fans after that display. Which led one Duck fan to write a very honest and respectfully written angry email to the head coach Chip Kelly. He went so far as to include an itemized statement of his travel expenses and all the cost incurred to see his Oregon Ducks stink up the joint at Boise State and in jest request a refund of his money.
Here is the best part of the story and truly not something that you hear about everyday. Coach Chip Kelly responded to the fans email got his mailing address and sent him a check for all $439 dollars that the fan itemized in his email. I read that and all I could think was WoW! I am sure that check will go a long way towards repairing the image of coach and the whole team of Oregon Ducks because that game against Boise State was a big black eye on the reputation of their college football program and the school. Bravo to you coach…..
